Activities
& Trips
We believe what students learn outside the classroom at Charterhouse is just as valuable as their studies. This is even more true for our summer school, where students are in a new country surrounded by exciting new people for just a short two weeks. By combining an exciting programme of activities and experiences with trips to some of England’s most famous cities, we ensure students get a rich, all-round experience while also creating a close-knit family atmosphere. Students enjoy as many of our state-of-the-art school facilities as possible with new friends whilst also experiencing the best of Britain outside of the school grounds.
Afternoon Activities
After afternoon electives, students get to choose from 3 daily-changing activities to enjoy before dinner. These always include something sporty and something creative. Offering a relaxed and informal break from learning, activities allow students to make the most of the facilities on offer and find additional common interest with other students. Examples of activities include:

Evening Programme
After a day of learning, our evening programme provides students with the opportunity to connect with each other on a whole new level. The only time in the day that every student at Charterhouse Summer School comes together, our vibrant evenings are an integral part of creating the family atmosphere and sense of belonging that students carry with them long after they leave us.
Students will join a house team for the duration of their stay and will return to the same house in future years if they join us again. Each team includes a range of genders, nationalities and ages. These teams form the basis of the evening activities and are designed to encourage international friendships, and develop key leadership skills.
Our staff carefully craft these special evening events to create a friendly but competitive atmosphere between teams.
Our evening programme includes:
Fashion Show
Mission Impossible
Casino Night
Disco
Talent Show
Lip Sync ChallengeTeam Trials
Treasure Hunt
