English Proficiency

Our English Proficiency course is designed for teenagers (ages 13-17) looking to strengthen their English language skills in a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. Through interactive lessons, creative projects, and group discussions, students will gain confidence in their communication abilities in an essentially native classroom setting.

Topic and Task-Based Learning

With a focus on improving conversational English, students will be introduced to and practise parts of the Cambridge C2 Proficiency exam, as well as developing their presentation skills and participating in job interviews and negotiation role-plays. Debates and discussions will enhance critical thinking and fluency. Topics explored will be relevant to the age group, such as social media, current events, and popular culture; encouraging students to focus on message rather than language, which is an essential skill to express oneself proficiently in English.

Authentic Materials

Small class sizes ensure personalised attention, and our experienced teachers use a dynamic approach that adapts to the unique needs of each student, presenting proficiency -level grammar and vocabulary through challenging and authentic materials unlike what is commonly used in lower-level English classrooms. Students will be encouraged to reproduce and use a wide range of idiomatic language and will become a step closer to speaking and sounding like a native speaker of English.

Total Immersion

In addition to classroom learning, the course includes cultural activities, workshops, and excursions that provide opportunities for students to practise English in real-world settings, making the learning experience both immersive and enjoyable.

If you feel that you have a reached a level of English where traditional language-learning classrooms are no longer for you, then this course, in which you will use English in an authentic and natural manner to communicate and express yourself on stimulating, real-life topics, will help you take that next step to speaking English like a native speaker.

This course is limited to students who have already passed a C1-level exam or are able to demonstrate C1-level speaking in a short, informal chat with one of our instructors.
