Global Leadership and PPE

Taking place in our new Business, Leadership and Entrepreneurship Centre, the Global Leadership Programme at Charterhouse Summer School offers an engaging introduction to the key disciplines of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE), designed to develop the next generation of global thinkers and leaders. This course provides a holistic exploration of critical global issues, encouraging students to think critically, debate complex topics, and develop their leadership potential.

The Impact of Globalisation

Throughout the programme, students will delve into the interconnectedness of politics, philosophy, and economics, examining how these fields shape global decision-making. Participants will explore themes such as governance, ethics, and economic systems, gaining a well-rounded perspective on the factors driving change in today’s world.

Public Speaking Skills

One of the key highlights of the programme is the opportunity for students to craft and deliver a presidential speech. This task encourages students to think strategically and communicate persuasively, honing their public speaking and leadership skills in a supportive environment.

Working Together to Make a Difference

In addition, the course features a simulated climate change conference, where students take on the roles of global leaders and negotiators. This immersive experience allows participants to grapple with the complexities of climate policy and diplomacy, learning first hand how global cooperation is essential in addressing pressing environmental challenges.

Charterhouse's Global Leadership Programme provides an enriching, intellectually stimulating environment for students who aspire to make a difference on the world stage. By the end of the course, participants will have sharpened their critical thinking, enhanced their communication skills, and gained a deeper understanding of the leadership required to tackle global challenges.

Developing EFL

This course is for those with advanced English skills who wish to improve their English vocabulary and fluency through the study of an academic subject. Based on the popular CLIL model of language learning, lessons put dual emphasis on the academic subject matter and the English language used to teach and learn the subject. All students are supported in their English language development during the course.
